Gautam Gambhir has stepped down as a skipper of Delhi Daredevils, Shreyas Iyer. Named as the new skipper.
Delhi Daredevils lost 5 out of 6 matches that they played, this could be the reason why Gautum Gambhir stepped down as a skipper.
Except for Rishab pant and Shreyas Iyer no player has been able to perform till now even their skipper, Gautam Gambhir has scored only one fifty that too in 42 balls
In their last game against Kings XI Punjab, DD's bowlers did very well job to restrict Punjab at 144 in 20 overs. but their batsman including their skipper failed to score with their highest scorer Shreyas Iyer the only payer who scored fifty that day but no other batsman was their that help Iyer to took the team to the victory which caused dd that they lost the game.
Maybe this is the reason that GG left captaincy is that everything is not ok between their skipper and their coach Ricky pointing. some of the sources said - while chasing 70 in 6 overs against Rajasthan Royals Gautum Gambhir did not come to bat as he was not happy with the batting order, but Gutum Gambhir had denied all these things in his tweet posted in their twitter account.
