Test wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha set to miss Afghanistan test due to the broken thumb
this is the reason why Saha did not feature in the final of Vivo IPL 2018 and sources confirmed that Wriddhiman Saha has been advised to rest for five to six weeks.

“Saha has been advised more rest as his medical report says he has a broken thumb and he can only play cricket after 5-6 weeks. He got hit while batting in Kolkata and that is why he couldn’t play the final against Chennai Super Kings. The BCCI will be announcing his replacement soon for the Afghanistan Test,” Quoted by Indian Express.

Parthiv Patel or Dinesh Karthik likely to replace Saha for the Afghanistan Test.
