What happened in india's first T20I match

The first Twenty20 International match was held on 5 August 2004 between the England and New Zealand women's teams with New Zealand winning by nine runs.

On 17 February 2005 Australia defeated New Zealand in the first men's full international Twenty20 match, played at Eden Park in Auckland. 

India's first T20I match played against South Africa in South Africa. Virendra Sehwag was the captain. he was the first captain of India who won the T20 match for India.
